Ideal for washing dishes, for example. The loofah sponge expands when it gets wet and therefore fits comfortably in the hand. The sponge lasts for 3 months and hardly wears out. Then the old one can just go to the GFT. † OLIVE SOAP FLAKES These traditional green olive soap flakes come from the family business Patounis from Corfu, a island in Greece. The soap is made from pure saponified olive oil together with a little sea salt and water. The soap has a naturally fresh scent. The olive oil comes from local farmers on the island itself. For this soap, the oil of the very last pressing used. Without the addition of coconut or palm oil, this oil is saponified in the traditional way. These soap flakes are very suitable for making liquid soap or solid soap yourself. It is ideal for all kinds of cleaning jobs, including washing dishes. To make the soap, the olive oil is traditionally saponified with sodium hydroxide, natural sea salt and water. This soap making technique is on the list of in Greece intangible cultural heritage. † ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION Nowadays we literally sand the microbeads in our clean drinking water with our plastic scouring pads. This sponge does not suffer from that! In fact, when you're done with it, this sponge ends up on top of the compost heap as food for the earth. Can't get any better than that, can it?
