The furry beneficial insects can form a colony in the bumblebee house undisturbed and protected from enemies and take care of the important next generation! The wax moth flap has a 45° bend and allows the bumblebee to force the door open with the help of the lower pedestal - wax moths are not strong enough for this. Note: Use the entrance tube to slide the wax moth flap all the way open until a queen bumblebee has moved in. Once a king bumblebee has moved in, carefully push the tube in a little further each week so that the wax moth flap is soon completely closed. This teaches the bumblebees to open the flap. Sprinkle some flour on the pedestal, then you can see from the footprints as soon as bumblebees have moved in. The ventilation of our bumblebee box with 6 extra narrow air holes on the sides gives enemies no chance. The bumblebee house roof is also firmly closed with a nut and can only be screwed on by human hands - this ensures maximum protection for the bumblebee colony! We automatically outfit each bumblebee house with a wax moth flap, species-appropriate entrance tube, and interchangeable nesting box that fits perfectly inside!
