Esperando was founded in St. Pauli in 2007. Although there were already many brands producing hats at the time, we could not find a product that met our needs. So we decided to produce our own hats.
In a small studio we designed the first models for the perfect hat. From the very beginning we placed great emphasis on quality, fine details and durability. Any product that did not meet our high standards was discarded.
It actually took a whole year before we were able to mass produce our first hats and scarves. Over the years, Esperando has become one of the leading accessories brands, especially knitted hats and scarves.
In 2022, the brand was taken over by thousandbrands GmbH and repositioned. The range was expanded and we gained new manufacturers. This enabled us to introduce a collection “Made in Germany”.
The quality of our products remains our top priority. Esperando produces exclusively in European factories, including Germany, Portugal, Italy, Bulgaria and Scotland. These factories are long-term partners, ensuring that production is fair and sustainable. Our hats and scarves are made from high-quality materials such as merino wool, lambswool, alpaca, mohair and cashmere. We only use premium yarns from Italy or Scotland.
