Summer Doré is a brand of upcycled fabric accessories. Originality without extravagance, classic without being ordinary, modern vintage, the items are made in Vendée.
Summer Doré was born at the beginning of summer 2020. Thanks to her mother, a former stylist, Cannelle, the founder spent her childhood in the atmosphere of sewing machines. On her return from a semester of studies abroad, she decided to make scrunchies in the family sewing workshop.
She begins to sell her creations and launches her brand of accessories very quickly.
The accessories are sewn from fabrics salvaged from ready-to-wear boutiques. Garage sales, flea markets and fashion houses complete the selection. There is a desire to encourage better consumption and respect the environment as much as possible. Everything is done in such a way as to pollute as little as possible (the fabric is reused so as not to be lost, the packaging is made of recycled paper, orders are sent to La Poste by bike or on foot, etc.). Responsible, accessible, the brand wants to be of good quality and elegant.
Upcycling is an integral part of the brand's DNA, consuming better has gradually become a credo!
The chouchou is a product that reflects the identity of the brand's founder. Adopted for many years, it is an essential accessory that goes with outfits, moods, events... It represents a jewel in his eyes, a precious accessory that dresses all the hair. Inspired by the 60s/70s, she considers this accessory as a response to originality, lightness and elegance. Some scrunchies have a particularity and are equipped with edging for more originality. Headbands, purses, cases, pouches, tote bags in small and large format as well as shopping bags are also made. Several projects are also to come, particularly potentially in ready-to-wear.
