Its lantern located more than 100 m above sea level (32.85m above the ground) carries more than 53 km. This Breton lighthouse can be visited. Its construction, started in 1946, was completed in 1950. From the top of the gallery, an exceptional panorama: the moor, Fort La Latte, the harbor of St Malo, the Cotentin coast, off the Normandy corner islands, the bay of Saint Brieuc , the island of Brehat. At the tip of Cap Fréhel, the old semaphore has now disappeared. It was burned during the Second World War, by French soldiers, before the arrival of the Germans.
