A historic headquarters, a new store and a new brand, which evokes all the historicity and heritage of experience of a shop born over 460 years ago
It was 1298 when the first urban road in the city of Florence, Via dei Servi, was built, and it was precisely in this road that two of the palaces dedicated to the Major Arts stood. One of these was Palazzo dei Mercatanti, where just under three centuries later, exactly in 1561, Domenico Brunetti's apothecary was to be built, in fact the founder of what a few years later became the Farmacia SS. (or Most Holy) Annunziata.
In that building a few steps from the Cathedral and which once belonged to the Nuns of San Niccolò, the apothecary's shop was set up and would remain so until it evolved into a pharmacy in 1876. Today, that shop located in via dei Servi is easily recognizable by the important ceramic effigy framed in pietra serena bearing the scene of the Annunciation. And new stores have sprung up in the meantime, including one, the one in Via Porta Rossa, built in the image of the historic shop with seventeenth-century style furnishings.
When the property passed to the Azzerlini family, in the seventies - today it is Elena Azzerlini who takes care of it - some creams were already being produced; a line of cosmetics and subsequently perfumes for the person and perfumes for the home were also gradually introduced. In 2021 the time has come to write a new chapter in our history, a year that will see SS Pharmacy. Annunziata protagonist of a profound revolution, which will include a renewed image and new fragrances. On this occasion, the celebratory Anniversary perfume comes out.
