LAGOMORPHE Terre de St Vincent whisky is a Single Farm whisky produced at the Faronville Distillery. Double maturation in Bourbon barrels and Banyuls barrels. Nose: Delicate stone fruits such as cherries. The first nose evokes spices and also suggests notes of nuts accompanied by a touch of chocolate. Cardamom is present before a second, very wild nose. Palate: A soft, sweet and fruity palate with notes evoking liquorice. The attack remains smooth and ample, with flavors of cinnamon, nuts and peach. The racy and complex side of this whisky is reinforced by vanilla and discreet spices. Finish: The fruity and pleasant finish will clearly reveal notes of dried apricot. Comment: The ancestors of the Faronville estate gave the name “St Vincent” to the clay-limestone plot containing the region’s wine. The sweet and fruity whisky from this same terroir and aged in old barrels of natural sweet wine from Banyuls therefore quite naturally bears the name of the patron saint of winegrowers.
