White turmeric powder

White turmeric is a different species of turmeric than the one we usually know and consume commercially. We are used to consuming the rhizome of turmeric longa reduced to powder, here it is the rhizome of turmeric zedoaire which is reduced to powder. The aromas of white turmeric are much more intense and complex than traditional turmeric. Fresh and heady notes of lime peel, green mango and undergrowth.
