Flax & Stitch has been manufacturing reusable alternatives to single-use bags and packaging since 2007. Muriel founded the company, which remains family-owned and based in Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, Belgium. Our products replace plastic freezer bags, paper bread bags and cling film, and have been sent to more than 14,000 customers in 35 countries.ÂÂ

Our sewn products are manufactured in Belgian Adapted Work Enterprises (ETA), which offer meaningful work to people with disabilities.ÂÂ
What we make
Flaxie Freeze reusable freezer bags made of PUL, in 23 solid colors and 5 sizes, with a 5-year warranty that also covers purchases made from our retailers. We repair first, and replace if the bag cannot be repaired. ÂÂ
Lunch bags and PUL packaging, in over 100 designs. ÂÂ
Double-layered cotton bread and baguette bags, with an outer layer of Oeko-Tex or organic cotton and a lining of untreated ecru organic cotton, in more than 100 designs. ÂÂ
Translucent EVA bowl covers tested for food contact, with elasticated edge, finished with cotton bias binding in a Liberty print or plain.ÂÂ
All our PUL (polyurethane laminated polyester) products are independently tested for food contact (Celabor, Belgium), PVC-free and machine washable at 60°C.ÂÂ
Our approach
Three priorities: quality materials, a wide choice of sizes and patterns, and fair prices, which we keep low by spending little on advertising. We have been members of 1% for the Planet since 2021 and donate 1% of our annual revenue to verified environmental projects. With Tree-Nation, we plant at least one tree with every order: more than 9,500 trees have already been planted.ÂÂ
For retailers
Most of our range is available in sets of 5 assorted designs, offering variety to your customers without having to stock each design. If you prefer certain colours or patterns, add a note to your order and we will do our best to accommodate it.
