FORMULA H SKINCARE WAS CREATED IN PARIS
The idea for Formula H Skincare was created in Paris, where the Danish graphic designer Lars Sannes lives with his French wife Majorie.
For many years Lars Sannes performed exclusive design jobs for major cosmetics companies in France. At these companies Lars met two very experienced product developers who were both saddened by the fact that they were developing products to be sold as so-called natural cosmetics but which were simply created in a laboratory.
The two product developers and Lars did not want natural cosmetics to be sold at high prices whilst those who produced the raw materials (typically farmers in developing countries) were poor and could not even afford to send their children to school. To that end they created The Formula H Skincare’s unique and distinctive programme for social responsibility along with a series of efficient and reliable natural skincare products.
FORMULA H – REAL NATURAL SKINCARE
The H in Formula H stands for Herbs. Created from herbs, leaves and fresh berries. Every single ingredient has its own significance for your skin. Formula H combines different raw materiales from mother nature. Therefore the products provide a real and noticeable impact on your skin.
DANISH PRODUCTION
The Formula H Skincare products are manufactured in Denmark. The development department is placed in France and Italy to be at the very centre of the world’s best developmental environments for cosmetics and skincare.
LABEL COLOURS INSPIRED BY THE RAW MATERIALS
Formula H uses 31 all-natural ingredients. Six of the raw materials have inspired the colours of the labels you see on the Formula H products.
Green stems from the Shea nut which is grown in Northern Burkina Faso. From the shea nut comes shea butter which provides an amazing, longlasting moisture for the skin. Green is used for the products Skin Tonic and Cleansing Gel.
The gray colour derives from the Salvia Officinalis plant. Sage is grown in Southern Europe. The oil from the sage plant has almost magical inflammatory properties, which is why the sage plant is efficient against e.g. Acne. Gray is used for the products Peel Mask and Clay Mask.
The gold-coloured leaves of the Alaria plant symbolizes the body series. Alaria is an algae growing in Japan which is rich in antioxidants, which help reduce the effect of free radicals in the skin.
The papaya colour is part of the Body series. Papaya contains the enzymes Papain and Chymopapain both known for their regenerative abilities for skin cells which is why they work well to prevents e.g. dark circles under the eyes.
The dark purple colour originates from the Borage flower which grows in Northern Morocco. The Borage oil works wonders on sensitive skin and maintains elasticity in both younger and older skin. The dark purple colour is assigned to the Treatment series among others Footcream and Anti-redness cream.
Rose comes from the Aniba tree which grows in the wild in Brasil. Aniba oil is ideal for activating cells and for achieving an anti-age effect. Therefore the colour Rose is dedicated to our Day Firming and Night Firming products, which tightens skin and activates the creation of new skin cells.
