Organic white willow – Rheumatism-

The cut and dried bark of organic white willow, or Salix alba, has many virtues to relieve pain caused by osteoarthritis, arthritis and rheumatism in general, as well as lower back pain. Considered as "the tree against pain", the white willow contains salicin as well as flavonoids which have an anti-inflammatory effect. Moreover, its bark can also be taken to lower fever, relieve headaches and promote healing of wounds. Harvested in France, organic white willow bark can be consumed as a mother tincture (alcohol-based preparation to be consumed in drops) or as an infusion. Its taste is slightly bitter and astringent.
