Uhudler is a wine that can only be made in a small wine-growing area in south-eastern Austria. After the phylloxera disaster, the resistant direct producer vines were cultivated. Uhudler was repeatedly banned and combated with a decree on deforestation. As a result, his mythical reputation grew. Characteristic is its fox tone, an intense strawberry aroma. Lisa Bauer, distiller and winemaker with roots in the Uhudler region, emphasizes these typical flavors. The result is a red vermouth that is impressive on ice, with tonic or in cocktails.
