OUR EXPERTISE

The Selection: Augustin Scala, a tasting expert (sometimes referred to as a “Tea Sommelier”), travels to tea gardens in search of the finest teas from producing countries. The GEORGE CANNON company thus offers teas that are particularly renowned, but also those from gardens less known to the general public, on all continents.

Sourcing: A trader and importer for over 125 years, the company has extensive knowledge of producers and commercial intermediaries for sourcing teas, plants and flavorings. Our quality policy is also very demanding. With batch controls, both at the point of origin in the producing country and upon receipt in our Ile-de-France workshops, each stage of the transformation guarantees quality.

Thanks to a demanding selection of superior quality ingredients, mastery of the art of tasting and the creativity of its teams, the range of flavored blends from Maison GEORGE CANNON is as wide as it is high quality and continues to explore new possibilities.  

Organic:
For over 20 years, Maison GEORGE CANNON has chosen to develop the share of its purchases of organic teas and plants, demonstrating its commitment to becoming THE leading French brand with over 500 organic products.  

A HISTORIC ROLE IN THE FRENCH TEA MARKET

Recognized by the industry for six generations, Maison GEORGE CANNON has shaped the tea market on numerous occasions.
Raymond Scala, grandfather of the current leader, was the first to introduce Yunnan teas, Pu’Er or Oolong, while in the 70s, Olivier Scala innovated by creating and producing flavoured teas for the first time in France. With its workshops in the Paris region, the Maison remains today a family and independent company, one of the few in France to control the entire production process.
