Château des Karantes Grand Vin rouge 2020

The vineyard is cultivated organically and biodynamically. 16.5/20 in the Bettane+Desseauve 2020 Guide Château des Karantes is an exceptional vineyard located in the heart of a small valley, surrounded by the rocky cliffs of the Clape massif, classified as a natural park. The estate overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and offers a remarkable panorama of the coast and the hinterland composed of scrubland and pine forests. The climatic conditions are exceptional: both by the duration of sunshine, the quantities of heat stored during the day by the limestone and returned to the grapes at night, and by the effect of the Mediterranean Sea which moderates summer temperatures. Since the 2017 vintage, the estate has been certified AB (organic wine) and DEMETER (biodynamic agriculture).
