Chateau la Sauvageonne La Villa Rouge 2021 75cl

The estate is located to the northwest of Montpellier, backed by the gates of the Causse du Larzac, at an altitude of between 150 and 350 meters over an area of 9.6 hectares. There are two different soils, on the one hand ruffes, a very filtering soil rich in minerals, and on the other hand a sandstone and schist soil, deeper, fractured and allowing the creation of a water reserve. This vintage comes from a plot selection, the vines are located in a climatic zone with large thermal amplitudes. The distance from the sea and the proximity of the Causse provide a certain freshness during summer nights, beneficial to the slow and progressive ripening of the berries.
