The story of Gigondas LaCave is not just a series of dates. It is above all moments, encounters and above all values carried by a simple vision: to sustain the great terroirs of the Rhône Valley.
We are a collective of 73 winegrowers committed to the vinification and marketing of great wines from the Rhône valley and the preservation of our heritage.
Our mission: to enhance our productions to offer you exceptional wines combining authenticity, finesse and elegance.
In 1956, in Gigondas, the frost which struck in Provence ravaged many olive groves and gave ample space to vines. Vineyards are then planted on the hillsides at the Pieds des Dentelles de Montmirail. The story of the creation of our cellar begins with 7 rooted winegrowers who joined forces to market their production in bottles.
Proud of their heritage, our 73 cooperating winegrowers are today keen to include Gigondas LaCave in an efficient collective project, in harmony with its time and its environment. Each of them has a love of the profession, a passion for this land and the desire to pass on this unique heritage to future generations.
Our values
- Quality of wines and quality of welcome: Passion, work, rigor and above all a lot of love from the land to bottling. It is with conviviality and generosity that we invite you to savor them in our cellar.
