Blackcurrant Powder Organic Freeze Dried 120g

Where did these fruits get their name from? The gooseberry plant bears panicles from mid-June - mostly around St. John's Day - which are covered with ripe, red berries. One differentiates - according to the color of the fruit - red and black currants. The Austrians call the red berry fruit "currant", which indicates the Latin name Ribes rubrum. The small “power packs” provide lots of micronutrients, especially vitamin C, but also potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc and iron. Black currants are particularly rich in vitamin C. These gooseberries have been cultivated since the 15th century. The many bioactive phytonutrients that can be found in the berries are primarily polyphenols. Like the valuable fruit acids, these are responsible for the tart taste - according to the motto: sour is healthy. The ingredients of the small kernels contained in the berries are also interesting. They provide plenty of gamma linolenic acid, which can be helpful for the complexion, among other things.
