The Gotland sheep is a very quaint and special breed of country sheep with powerful ears, native to the Swedish island of Gotland. The wool color is a gray mottled. The wool is dense and very soft. There are still around 9,000 purebred Gotland sheep on Gotland. The felt slippers are seamlessly felted from the natural wool and anatomically perfectly formed. The robust sole of the felt slipper is made of cowhide.
