The name of this product comes from the color that the main ingredient gives it, pepper. 

The origin of this product dates back to the Savoy court, where meat was often accompanied by this delicacy, then known as "cold tomatic sauce".

This recipe, still prepared today according to ancient tradition, gives rise to a sauce, ideal for accompanying meat dishes, such as the famous Piedmontese boiled meat.
