Roasted pistachios, Gaziantep

The green pistachios bring an incomparable aroma and are the most important ingredient in the Turkish classic baklava. The pistachios come from Gaziantep, a city of millions in south-east Turkey. UNESCO included the city on the list of "UNESCO Creative Cities" in the gastronomy category. The city is known for its pistachios (according to many the best in the world) and exceptionally wide gastronomy. A bag contains extra large, finely roasted pistachios. The pistachios are not treated with additives. Pistachios are high in protein. The protein content is almost 20 percent. Pistachios contain vitamins from the B group, which are important for the nerves, among other things. The levels of potassium and iron are relatively high. The fiber it contains is good for digestion.
