Hawken's Christmas Trees

These little, bite-sized cookies really pack a punch. The spice mix in the gingerbread Christmas trees brings back memories of our childhood when ginger cookies were baked to hang on the tree. To give the pastry texture and bite, lemon and orange peels as well as crystallized ginger pieces were incorporated. This recipe is baked in the classic gingerbread man shape and the retail packs are attractively packaged in boxes that are stunningly designed. 13 cookies per box. On the side wall is a fantastic history of the Christmas tree and how we came to bring evergreen trees into our homes and decorate them at a certain time of year. The boxes are a deep metallic red and look fantastic.
