This grape variety is also the basis for well-known wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco. In combination with selected herbs and spices, a vermouth is created that is based on a traditional recipe and over 130 years of production experience. ​ Wine base from Barolo d'Alba This vermouth is made from Piedmontese red wines, including dry Muscat and Nebbiolo from the Conterno della Bussia winery. The aromatic base is enriched with extracts of gentian root, cinchona calissaya, sage, lime peel, fennel, cardamom and vanilla from Madagascar. The maceration takes place over a period of 40 to 50 days, after which the vermouth rests for at least two weeks at a constant temperature in the cellar. ​ Alpine herbs and exotic spices A special feature of this vermouth is the combination of locally picked herbs from the Italian Alps and regional spices. These ingredients are harmoniously blended with the wine base. The result is an aromatic vermouth with a sweet opening, spicy middle and a slightly bitter, balanced finish. ​ Classic or creative mixes Whether in a Negroni, the fruity Blood and Sand, or the Brazilian Rabo de Gallo – this red vermouth can be combined in a variety of cocktail recipes.
