Located at the entrance to Clermont-Ferrand and surrounded by century-old plane trees, Place Delille is the subject of a new poster in sea green tones. A tribute to its 19th century fountain, known to all! What a beautiful poster on one of the most famous squares in Clermont-Ferrand! First located on Place d'Herm then Place des Jacobins, Place Delille has had many identities! Well known to the people of Clermont-Ferrand, Place Delille and its fountain stand amidst century-old plane trees. This fountain, still in operation, is a haven of freshness on hot days, around which schoolchildren, passers-by and visitors gather. In the 18th century it took the name of Abbot Delille, a poet from Clermont, and... the Amboise fountain, which will move to several places before becoming the Poterne fountain. The current fountain was built in 1875.
