Let’s get some fresh air in La Bourboule! This promotional poster for tourism at the end of the 19th century will delight your eyes! Obviously reserved for lovers of Auvergne, the Massif Central or the Puy du Sancy... The main illustration is lovely and brightened with various touches of color with a drawing that appears to have been done in gouache or watercolor by an unknown artist. The poster illustration shows the Bourboule Valley, which we can see a little from our vantage point. Format: 50x70 cm A bucolic poster with a view of the spa town of La Bourboule In the foreground, on a dirt road, a peasant woman is guiding a cart pulled by donkeys carrying two city children. The children's parents follow this procession, which is watched by elegantly dressed young girls, sitting on the grass and waving to them. The distant and somewhat hazy view of La Bourboule, however, allows us to make out the new thermal baths and a pleasure park with a fountain. All these brand new Belle Epoque style buildings are also represented in a small sticker at the bottom of the page, followed by the commercial mention "Circular tickets with optional itineraries and Family group tickets". A beautiful, joyful and colorful poster for all those who love the old spa towns of Auvergne!
