The story of Henri Marie
Henri Marie (1839-1925), a brother of the Holy Family community in Belley, was a passionate botanist for over thirty years.
He devoted his life to the study of the nature and properties of the plants he observed, notably those of the mountains of Bugey, Dauphiné and Savoie.
In 1905, he developed his first medicinal plant liqueurs, the formulas of which are still used today, thus perpetuating artisanal know-how and a profound knowledge of the plant world.
