Our company was founded in 1990 in the small town of Olbernhau in the Ore Mountains by Günter Hess. The family business still produces exclusively in Germany. We work at 3 locations Olbernhau, Blumenau and Grünthal. All assembly work is carried out by hand.
While initially it was all manual work, modern technology is now in use. Various CNC machines, robots and modern printing techniques ensure that our products can still be purchased at moderate prices despite being produced in Germany. The development of new products is very important to us. We draw, tinker, try and test every day so that our products meet the optimal needs of babies and children. Every year, on the long path from the first sketch to the finished sample, many new products are created just by observing children. This is how ideas are born and developed.
The daughter of the company founder, Claudia Hess, is responsible for the design. She has two children herself and therefore knows the needs and wishes of children. Thanks to her graphic training and her profession as a wooden toy maker, she can also put her ideas into practice very well. Unfortunately, Günter Hess died in May 2023. Since June 2023, the family business has been continued in his spirit by his daughters Manuela and Claudia Hess.
