Upcycled velvet tote bag

This superb shopping bag has a story, you will be able to tell it to your customers and prove to them if necessary that it is still possible to buy French and "eco-responsible" at an affordable price.   The velvet comes from Angevin haberdasheries, although it is certainly not entirely designed in France, but it has the advantage of being selected and tested by me locally.   This is upholstery velvet on a weft, very solid and high quality.   The lining is old French linen (new of course), from the family factory (my grandfather and great-grandfather) which closed in the 1970s.   The textile factory based in Cholet in the 49 produced the famous "Cholet handkerchief" as well as "Blanc de Cholet" linen, such as sheets, pillowcases, placemats.   It has today become a museum = the textile museum in Cholet.    The dimensions of the bag are 50x30cm.   The straps 55cm.    A small interior pocket with matching random bias allows you to slip your wallet, smartphone or keys. 
 Very practical, chic and elegant.   This tote bag is an essential to have and take everywhere for shopping, shopping or to school.    A small side label with the tricolor flag highlights the “made in France” of the product.   A “handmade with love” imitation leather label highlights the artisanal side of the product.
