Upon completion of my specialized studies in the wood industry, I began working for a company that manufactured plywood. The main technique for manufacturing this material is wood peeling (see the "Technique" section). Wood peeling, according to its original definition, is: "To unroll the wood in the manner of a roll of paper..." »
To equate wood with paper? A utopian idea?¨^o)
In any case, it's an idea that has stayed with me and made me think for a long time!
10 years later, with the determination and will to bring to fruition all the reflections related to this during all this time, HIRONWOODS was born!
And so it is in the Jura, between two villages in a canton beautifully named "Le Val d'Amour", that our workshop is located. All this in an environment completely consistent with its activity: in the heart of nature! Surrounded by forests, vineyards and orchards, we handcraft our stationery products such as postcards, bookmarks, and even envelopes... All of this is made of WOOD!
Traditional greeting cards are thus revisited through the originality of our medium and our methods.
Birthdays, Christmas 🎄🎅, Happy New Year, anniversaries 🎁🍰, condolences, Mother's Day, Halloween, Valentine's Day 💔, all important events are captured on our wooden cards and bookmarks.
Our religious range 😇 will satisfy the demands of specialist bookstores and other monasteries.
Hundreds of landscape references, sea, mountains, for all tourist areas in France and elsewhere.
And finally, our range is filled with hundreds of visuals and photographs of animals (birds, marmots, tigers, dogs, cats, reptiles) but also flowers.
Animal parks, botanical gardens, museums, florists, bookshops, newsagents/tobacconists, souvenir shops, hotels, castles... There's something for everyone!
If you can't find what you need, Hironwoods also customizes all its products. Our two graphic designers will be able to formalize your ideas and wishes on our original medium.
