Its legendary origin dates back over 3,000 years to the Maya civilization who consumed it as a natural energizer. It is increasingly sought after today. Qualified as an adaptogenic plant, Damiana is recognized for its action promoting the body's resistance to stress, and helping to fight against anxiety and nervous fatigue. Studies have also lent it aphrodisiac properties.
