St Johns Eve. In common with many parts of Northern Europe, St John’s Eve is celebrated on the 23rd June in the West of Ireland. Its long evenings and the last bit of light in the western sky that goes on forever. There are dying trials of smoke reaching skywards from the evening’s bonfires.
