The story of Hugzzeee Friends began with us wanting to create something that was true to our proud tradition of Danish design. Something functional and timeless, which would be fun, safe and cosy as well. But behind this was an even greater vision. We wanted to create something that was as sustainable and natural as possible. That’s why we have used organically certified cotton for the teddies’ bodies, and for the filling we have used recycled polyester and natural stone. We also wanted to create a safe and secure production, which is why the teddies are hand-sewn at a certified production facility. You can’t just go halfway. That’s why our packaging is made from recycled cardboard and designed to be used as part of the play. The packaging is also free from plastics and metal, held together with organic cotton thread.
