At Ibémi, our mission is to promote Fonio and West African cultures through a range of healthy and original products.
Fonio is an ancestral seed cultivated in the Sahel for more than 5,000 years. Some people call it “African quinoa”.
Easy to cook both savory or sweet, Fonio is gluten-free, rich in fiber and amino acids and suitable for a diet with a low glycemic index.
Growing in poor soils, Fonio is grown on a traditional family model, requires very little water and naturally helps and helps combat desertification.
