The idea for this project was born in Mexico, where the founder Madlen Schering lived for several years. There she discovered the colors and patterns of the Mexican oilcloth, the trademark of Ikuri. In Mexico, these determine the street scene: bright colors and retro motifs come across on every corner: whether Vichy checks, a colorful sea of flowers, dots or fruits - as tablecloths they adorn taco stands and fruit juice stands. This bag project was born out of the love for this material.
