COFFEE FARM: LA GABRIELA REGION: CIUDAD BOLIVAR, ANTIOQUÍA VARIETAL: GEISHA PROCESS: NATURAL TASTING NOTES: STRAWBERRIES, HIBISCUS, AND JASMINE     Finca La Gabriela is at the heart of the Cafe Lumbus family from who we have sourced this beautiful geisha. La Gabriela has been in the family for 4 generations. Catalina's (owner of Cafe Lumbus) grandmother received the 26-hectare farm as a wedding present from her parents, in the hope that the newlyweds would be able to grow food and provide for themselves through coffee. This farm is a sacred place to the family and as such, it is named after Catalina's grandma - Gabriela Vasquez. As Cafe Lumbus have grown and developed over the last 5 years they have made this farm their “garden of Eden”, where they have planted exotic varietals including Java, Pacamara, Red & yellow Bourbon, Gesha, Tabi, Maragoype and Typica. Alongside, they also grow the regular varietals of Castillo, Colombia and Caturra on the farm. These coffee plants are grown in a rich red fertile soil that is slightly alkaline, across the 9 plots that make up this farm. This plot is also certified RFA. We highly recommend purchasing the _whole beans_ and using a grinder at home.
