Round blue and pink raffia rug – 170 cm

Round rug, 170 cm in diameter, made of raffia, hand-woven by Marie from the Rouge Beauté association. This mottled model combines tones of pink, mauve and blue. Each rug is unique! Each craftswoman imagines her rug and the colors that will compose it. She does the raffia coloring herself. Once the raffia is dry, she creates a long braid, which she continues by adding strands of raffia and wrapping this braid around itself as she goes. That's why rugs are round. It takes 2 weeks to make a carpet 1.70 meters in diameter.
