Indian pink and blue raffia rug – 200 cm

Round rug, 200 cm in diameter, made of raffia, hand-woven by Nadiah from the Rouge Beauté association in Madagascar. This model in deep colors of Indian pink, brown, blue with a pale pink circle gives character to a room. Each rug is unique! Each craftswoman imagines her rug and the colors that will compose it. She does the raffia coloring herself. Once the raffia is dry, she creates a long braid, which she continues by adding strands of raffia and wrapping this braid around itself as she goes. That's why rugs are round. It takes about 3 weeks to make a 2-meter diameter carpet.
