Henna is a green dyeing powder with an intense odor, similar to clay. It is obtained from Lawsonia inermis. Equipped with astringent and coloring properties, Lawsonia Inertis is also used for cosmetic purposes. This is due to the presence of a compound called lawsone which, mixed with hot water, takes on a typical dark red pasty appearance. Henna for hair is a completely vegetable hair color preparation and is a valid alternative to chemical dyes. It is well tolerated by the scalp and does not alter the metabolism of the hair follicles. Henna colors the hair also helps to improve the health of the hair by balancing the secretion of sebum and oily substances.
