The seeds are separated from the pulp, washed carefully, dried and then stored in a cool, dry place and subsequently, by cold pressing, a very rich and precious oil is obtained. The obtained prickly pear oil contains over 85% unsaturated fatty acid with over 60% linoleic acid (omega 6) which is considered an essential fatty acid for various metabolic processes in the body.
