J.Clay is a sock startup from Mönchengladbach. Inspired by the 80s and 90s, street art, sneakers and current trends, with J.Clay Socks we want to be more than an ordinary clothing brand. J.Clay is for those who don't want to grow up and are still kids at heart... just like us...

We, that is Felix, Jan and Moritz. Growing up in Mönchengladbach on the Lower Rhine in the mid-1980s, we get the inspiration for our socks from exactly this time, which was one of the most formative of our lives.

Baggie jeans, hoodies, white tennis socks and sneakers were our daily uniform. A way of life influenced by the Simpsons, Snoop Dogg and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

A handful of good friends you've spent every day with for years. Always on the go, always something going on. The first party, the first girlfriend, the first beer. It feels like an endless summer, full of great memories!

What a great time!

But as life goes, we too got older and grew up at some point. The best friends moved away and, in most cases, exchanged their hoody for a suit. We still meet up 1-2 times a year... laughs about old times... and how great it would be to turn back time. "At that time".

When we founded J.Clay in 2017, we wanted to bring back a piece of this freedom with our socks. Not just for us, but for everyone who thinks and feels like us. For those who are still kids in their heads. For all those who sit down with their old friends once a year and celebrate the old days.

Never grow up!
