To help you find your way, we find on each card the names of all the members of the family concerned.   Before today's 8 families, Jeux FK had released several editions of traditional 7 families games, in various themes (Old professions, New professions, The circus, Imaginary worlds, etc.). The principle of this century-old game is excellent, developing thinking, memory and intuition. Knowing the different archetypes that surround us allows us to set benchmarks and then develop our own personality. But it was clear that today’s reality is very different. Hence the idea of ​​this variation. No need to look far, I just observed the families around me, sometimes I simply mixed two families around me. Each case being different, I could easily have put 20 family compositions in this game (and even then, I did not put the grandparents, the step-grandparents, the grandmother with her new companion, the grandmother with his new partner…) but hey, I summarized.   In this new edition, illustrated like the three previous ones by Jack Koch, we have a family with two dads, another with two moms, one with twins and triplets, an adoptive one, a single parent, one with a woman in transition who is already a dad three children, two other newly blended families, and 7 blank cards to draw or complete your own family! Families are represented in the form of a frieze, and children always occupy the central place. It is a real pleasure to attend card games of this game with children. It’s about their world, their surroundings, sometimes their own daily life, and nothing seems to faze them. As for the parents who stick to it, while some enjoy it, others affected by a sometimes painful period of family breakdown and then a recomposition, find themselves relieved, or even... relieved of guilt. In any case, that’s what I was able to observe.   When it was released, the game received a number of positive press articles (Le Monde, Libé, Têtu, France Culture) and that, well, it's a joy everywhere!
