This is the story of Jgin, of an ancient still, of perfumes,
traditions and colors of its territory, Vallesina, in the Marche.
I was born and raised with the scents and colors of my land,
from strong traditions passed on from grandparents to parents, from memories and fun of
when we organized the wheat harvest, we picked the tomatoes afterwards
prepare the preserves, until the most exciting moment arrives: the harvest.
School had started, summer was over, but this nostalgic note was sweetened by the aromas
and scents of the bunches and leaves of the vines wafting through the air.
The strong bond with our territory pushed me to take courage and leave
usual patterns made up of numbers, budgets, income and expenses, finding and experiencing something
more creative and satisfying.
The pandemic arrives, the ideal time to start the business,
with the first studies on wild herbs, medicinal plants, extraction techniques and above all thanks
to the skill, creativity and food and wine knowledge of my husband Michele, we dusted off one of his
old still left by my grandfather. The first rehearsals begin, the sleepless nights and the desire to create something
that could contain our dreams, our memories, our traditions, something that we could transform
to our children, something that could celebrate our territory.
We studied, we tried, we have
worked hard to finally arrive at the birth of JGIN, the first London dry gin from Vallesina which it celebrates
the territory, the first London dry gin from the distillation of the Verdicchio leaf. Jgin is a bit like our third son,
because in him you can find the bonds and scents of our territory, the summary of our passions.
