Founded during the summer of 2021, by two childhood friends, passionate about fashion, Camille Raffray and Margaux Israel. KABAS offers bags made from recycled materials, bringing together the world of fashion and food in one bag model, this new Parisian brand is now creating the future essential it-bags for a day punctuated by everyday life. The one that accompanies you for your lunches, your shopping, your beach getaway or your weekends.
KABAS has been designed and thought out to combine both a colorful universe and unique practicality for a city bag, to have with you, for your lunch break, for shopping or even going on a weekend trip.
We encourage consuming less, reusing instead of wasting and practicing everyone's culinary skills because the particularity of the bags also lies in their insulated lining and waterproof exterior.
We have always admired the approaches of chefs who try to build a better, more committed restaurant, and with respect for the producers with whom they work. We, in turn, want to transmit similar messages through our creations and the brand universe.
Friends for 10 years, we are Camille and Margaux.
Passionate about fashion and the world of food, we share the same ideas on how to consume: local and seasonal products, always recommending the best small addresses and food shops in Paris. It was very natural for both of us to come together around this project and to enhance it with our lifestyle, our desires, our culinary discoveries. We are constantly inspired by various artists and worlds, for their colors and their atmosphere, such as Damien Hirst and the cherry blossoms, Henri Matisse and his still lifes or even David Hockney through his exhibition “A Year in Normandy”.
Our idea is to offer bags as an alternative to classic shopping bags, by adding a technical aspect to the bag with in particular the hidden insulated lining. Cooking has become for some (and for us) a pleasure and an opportunity to show one's creativity. The lunch bag also aims to become the essential and indispensable fashion accessory.
The declination of the word Cabas seemed obvious to us. A fun way to almost infinitely vary the names of bags with the letter K, depending on what each bag inspires them: PIK-NIK, KOURGE, KALICE, KOLORS, KRIKRI, KARREAUX, KARLITO, KAWA, KARMI. ..
