The date of the first edition of this work is 1973. Three decades later, the book is still valid; for that Iela Mari was a forerunner in her time. The Italian artist managed to create a different book concept, instructive and at the same time enjoyable, without the need for any explanatory, literary or informative text. The key to all the books by this author and illustrator is based on the idea of the “endless circle”. Thus, this book begins in winter, when the dormouse hibernates in its burrow next to a tree.
