Two-piece flower earrings

These pretty earrings are worn on either side of the lob to give relief to the jewel. The designer starts with a raw brass plate, which she cuts manually. The contours are then filed, to soften them and perfect the finish. The next step is to weld the different parts together. The jewel is then emerised (sanded) with different grains to remove the roughness of the metal. Each piece of jewelry is polished to obtain a mirror effect. Finally, the jewels are deposited with a renowned Parisian gilder, who applies a very resistant 24K fine gold gilding.
