Esoteric necklace, .925 spiral amulet

The spiral is a symbol rich in folklore and has had great meaning in many cultures throughout human history.   It is most commonly associated with Celtic or Nordic traditions, but ancient Vikings also used it in abundance: rings, pendants, brooches and other amulets abound in the archaeological record.   I love the juxtaposition of simplicity and complexity in their form and the way the circular motion represents the circle of life...   and it is truly a form in motion.   This particular spiral design is inspired by amulets from ancient times and also reminded me of Thor's hammer.  Each spiral is crafted from sterling silver and oxidized to highlight the richness and depth of the metal.   The chains are also made of oxidized sterling silver, 41 cm long and close with spring ring clasps.   The pendants are approximately 2.5 cm long.
