Stylized sterling silver tyet.   Measures approximately 1.5cm in length.   The chain is also made of sterling silver and is 41cm long with a spring ring clasp.  The Tyet, also called the Isis knot or Isis belt, is an ancient Egyptian symbol that resembles an ankh with arms curved downwards.   Its meaning is also similar and is often translated as "welfare" or "life".   They were found buried with many mummies, usually placed on the torso, and are believed to have had powerful protective properties that protected the wearer from all evil, including disease and harm done/desired by others.
