The Dan is a tea from the early 1st picking in April. The stronger firing during drying gives this harmonious tea a deep green cup and its warm, voluminous scent. The name of the tea is derived from this unusual type of processing: "Warm". This tea convinces with a beguiling, velvety taste. Kabusecha is green tea for the production of which the tea plants are shaded, which means that they develop a high content of chlorophyll and other active substances and at the same time few bitter substances. Their characteristic "shadow aroma" is called "ooika". Like many KEIKO teas, this tea is an intensely steamed tea (Fukamushi-cha, 100 - 120 seconds steaming time). Due to the gentle steaming, the leaf pores open and the extracts from the tea leaf get into the water more easily and quickly. This can be recognized by the deep green tea color in the cup and the yield of the tea - with top quality, up to 5 infusions are possible! In addition, intensely steamed early pickings are particularly suitable for cold infusions (mizudashi). Even with cold water, you can get an intense and refreshing tea after just a few minutes. Since the bitter substances do not dissolve so strongly in cold water, the sweet aromas of the Kabusecha come into their own. In order to preserve the valuable aromas and ingredients of the tea as best as possible, we ask you to close the bag tightly and store it in the refrigerator or freezer in a cool and dark place. A strong fire gives this half-shade green tea a beguiling, velvety taste.
