Hojicha (spoken: Hoo-dschi-tscha) is a roasted green tea. The name is made up of the word 'hojiru' for 'toast' and the 'cha' from 'tea'. With a Horoku tea roaster, you can even roast your Hojicha yourself using your favorite green tea. KEIKO Hojicha contains kabusecha of the 1st and 2nd picking. The Hojicha is probably the only green tea that has the right to have a red-brown cup color. Anything else that shows poor quality is wanted here. Hojicha is a great companion both in the cold and in the warm season and is very popular with food in Japan.
