In 2015, on a long, boozy night in Amsterdam, we cracked open a bottle of genever. Quickly we realized just how good it was. It surprised us with the maltiness of whisky and the botanicals of gin.
Genever even has its own protected designation of origin.
We began to wonder why our Dutch national spirit, with over 400 years of heritage, had lost its edge.
This gave us a wild idea: do it better. Following our lust for innovation and a good drink, we started to experiment. The media even started calling us ‘the game-changers of genever’.
Together with our master-distiller, we have created three different versions:
- Origineel – A bomb of flavour that is as smooth as a baby’s bottom. The perfect millennial-genever.
- Kopstoot – Specially tailored for a nearly forgotten Dutch drinking ritual: the Kopstoot. A genever with a glass of beer, that is.
- 0% alcohol – Our bestseller at the moment that was developed to show that genever is the most versatile and modern spirit you’ll find. Even without alcohol.
- Kever Hard Seltzer - is your new favourite refreshment from Amsterdam. Enjoy the sparkling seltzer water with a fresh twist of Mandarin Orange or Lemon Lime. This Hard Seltzer is low in calories, alcohol and gluten-free. Drink it ice-cold and straight from the can.
