The Kilner® Sourdough Starter Set contains all the components required to make a successful sourdough, which can then be turned into fresh and delicious bread. Pancakes, naan breads, pizza and other baked goods can also be made with the sourdough starter set. Why sourdough - sourdough is made from flour (rye, spelled or wheat flour) and water - without any other additives. The flour contains healthy lactic and acetic acid bacteria, these need some time to develop and then ensure that the bread not only tastes better, but also lasts longer than if it was baked with yeast alone. The only thing you need is flour, water, warmth and a little time - quite simple, particularly tasty. The set includes two glasses so that a second portion can be made at the same time.
